Creating individual, one-of-a-kind sculptural pieces of wearable art using beads
and metallic wire. i also enjoy using found objects and materials sourced
from garage sales and op shops.

I am a self-taught artist and have been making
jewellery since I was 10 years old.

Modus Operandi

I think of jewellery as a tangible, textural landscape. Nature is a constant
source of inspiration for my work. Motifs such as flowers, leaves,
butterflies and spider webs evoke a strong sense of connection to
mother earth and the daily cycles which govern our lives.

Techniques which I use include sewing, weaving, threading and bending metallic wire, either to form the body of a piece or as an embellishment within a shape. The malleability of wire allows my work process to be quite spontaneous, although I often use a rough shape and colour scheme to form the basis for my work.
